Trees are Symbolic in the Bible

The word "Tree" in the bible has seven different words in the original Greek translations.
All are different types of trees.
There two significant trees mentioned in both the New and Old Testaments. The Olive Tree & the Fig tree.

The Olive Tree represents life.
See Jeremiah 11:16 "The Lord once called you a green olive tree, beautiful with good fruit."
Hosea 14:6 "..His beauty shall be like the olive tree."
Psalm 52: 8 "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God."
Genesis 8: 11 "And the dove returned to Noah in the evening, and behold in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf."
Romans 11:23,24 " ...if they do not continue int heir unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them again.
For if you were cut from what by nature is a wild olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree."

The Olive Tree represents a curse.
John 1:48 " Jesus saw Nathanael under the Fig tree."
Matthew 21: 18-20 "Jesus curses the Fig Tree."
Genesis 3:7 satan deceived Adam & Eve and they covered their sin with a fig leaf.

The Olive Tree is life ...the Fig Tree is death ( a curse)

Scholars reason that Jesus hung on an Olive tree symbolizing Life for all. And he cursed the Fig tree as a symbol of the curse handed down from Adam.
Worth thinking about.
Jesus sweated drops of blood in the garden and prayed on the Mount of Olives. The symbol of our forgiveness through His sacrifice.
